Hi!
I am training Augustus through BUSCO and I would like to reduce the running time as much as possible.
In fact, I specified to BUSCO to use 15 CPUs and it seems that BUSCO executed Augustus taking this parameter into account:
optimize_augustus.pl --cpus=15 [...]
However, only one thread is used by Augustus...
Does it make sense ? Does Augustus use several threads for some tasks and a single thread for others?
Is there anything I can do to tell Augustus to use more than one processor?
Thank you in advance for your help,
Best regards,
Rémi

Re: Running Augustus training with several CPUs through BUSCO
Augustus, by default, does not utilize multiple threads for its computations. It is primarily designed to run using a single thread. Therefore, even if you specify a higher number of CPUs to BUSCO, Augustus will not automatically utilize them.
